Literal skeletons in Kyrsten Sinema's closet come back to haunt her as Senate race tightens

• Polls show that Arizona Democrat Kyrsten Sinema on Republican candidate Martha McSally is rapidly narrowing in a key race in the Senate.
• Sinema's leadership in the US Senate race was closed after reports revealed his work with an extreme left-wing anti-war group that said the United States was "terrorizing" the Middle East.
• Sinema also said she would not oppose Americans joining the Taliban to fight US troops. Sinema's earlier statements about the laws on child prostitution and its state of origin, Arizona, were also examined.

The US Senate race in Arizona is tightening after news reports uncovered inflammatory statements made by Democratic candidate Kyrsten Sinema about US soldiers, Islamist terrorists and child prostitution.

Sinema has already dominated the Republican candidate Martha McSally with no less than eight points, but now clings to a half-point lead, according to the average poll Real Clear Politics.

Sinema and McSally, who both sit in the House, are standing in to replace retired Republican Senator Jeff Flake. The race is considered one of the best chances for Democrats to change seats in the Senate in November.

Sinema, a former leftist Green Party activist, is increasingly being monitored for her history of incendiary positions.

The leaflets distributed by Sinema's anti-war group before the 2003 demonstration described American soldiers as skeletons and claimed that the United States was "terrorizing" the Middle East. A local anarchist group joined the Sinema group for the event.

On the eve of the protest, Sinema said she did not care at all for Americans opposed to the war to join the Taliban.

"I do not care if you want to do that, go ahead," she said. (RELATED: Kyrsten Sinema: "I do not care if the Americans want to join the Taliban")

In 2006, Sinema made comparisons between US soldiers killed abroad and people who died trying to cross the US border illegally.

In 2007, while he was at the service of the state legislature, Sinema fought to protect a loophole allowing men caught with child prostitutes to assert that there was no way out. child looked older as a defense in court.

Sinema argued that the elimination of this loophole was "not fair," citing her past work with children ages 12 and 13 to whom she would have said "more air." older than me.

Republicans also drew attention to Sinema's statements that devalued the state she now plans to represent in the Senate.

Sinema described Arizona as a "scientific laboratory of democracy" in 2001. Another video of the same year showed it claiming that the state was producing "a fool".

The Sinema campaign did not return e-mail requesting a comment.

"Nobody forces Kyrsten Sinema to run in a state she considers" crazy "and" a methamphetamine lab of democracy, "Republican National Committee spokeswoman Renae Eze said in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

"Sinema's perpetual disdain for Arizona proves how little respect she has for the people who live here," Eze continued. "Kyrsten Sinema is more than welcome to drop out of school so that Arizona can be represented by a leader who really cares about this state."
