Little Mix is no stranger to bold and challenging music videos – see "Power," "Shout Out To My Ex," and most of their other singles as proof – but the band's latest one is perhaps the best.
For "Woman Like Me" – Nicki Minaj's business-minded collaboration published earlier this month – Jade, Jesy, Perrie and Leigh-Anne get caught in the back of a van before getting throw in a sumptuous home. There, they become their most basic and most appropriate beings while performing stereotypical tasks of "woman": ironing a shirt, vacuuming and pouring tea. But as the song progresses and the girls claim to be "unconventional" confident women, they give up virility and let go of it, letting go of the cheeseburgers and generally giving no fuck.
As for Nicki, the queen appears through an immaculate painted portrait, hitting her verse while wearing a Victorian dress and a gold crown. Would you like to wait for something less?
"Woman Like Me" is the first single of the fifth album of Little Mix, LM5. The album arrives Nov. 16 and contains tracks with titles similar to feminist tones such as "Woman's World", "Joan of Arc" and "Love a Girl Right". Hope this means that the group has more empowering videos on the way!
