COBB COUNTY, Ga. – A semi-trailer carrying cows Inverted and blocked all Interstate 285 lanes in the Atlanta area Monday morning. Motorists were injured and several cow deaths were reported.
The accident occurred on the I-285 highway heading east, off the I-75, shortly after 3 am local time.
Officials said the trailer was carrying more than 80 head of cattle. As a result of the wreck, cows roaming the road were responsible for other wrecks on the highway.
Another herd of cows spilled on Interstate 75 in May and 10 cows were killed. A cattle truck overturned on Interstate 285 in June, spilling nearly 40 cows on the highway. Three were killed.
