Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Blankfein was an unidentified senior officer mentioned in US court documents. He attended a meeting in 2009 with former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak involved in the 1MBD scandal, Bloomberg News reported, citing unknown people familiar with the case. The meeting was organized and brought together two personalities from the 1MDB scandal, a Malaysian businessman Jho Low and former Goldman partner Tim Leissner, said a person directly aware of the matter, according to Bloomberg. The $ 6.5 billion use that Goldman has collected for 1MDB has triggered investigations in several countries, the report added. A spokesman for Goldman declined to comment, and Blankfein last week said at a conference that he did not know that senior executives had missed the red flag in the case 1MDB.
