LeBron James had a perfect answer to a question about his loyalty to his new team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
A journalist has asked the league's MVP four times how he expects to earn the respect and loyalty of his new fan base. James seemed puzzled by the question, then gave a simple answer indicating the duration of his contract: I signed a four-year contract.
Reporter: How do you expect to earn the loyalty and respect of the LA fan base?

Everything was great for several reasons. First, LeBron being completely stunned by the question was funny to see. Secondly, he was probably confused that after 13 seasons as a star in the league – playing the best player in the league for the most part, one wonders how he will win the respect of the fans. Third, he did not give details about the difficulty of playing and blah blah blah. He simply said that I signed for four years, what more do you want?
As accomplished as he is in the league, many Lakers fans – accustomed to championships and established Kobe fans – will keep LeBron at a high level. They do not care about what he did in the past; they only care about what it does in purple and gold. James should be ready to answer such questions and a fan base that expects him to win, even if Kobe thinks the fans will line up.
