Drake Davis, a recipient of the suspended LSU, was again arrested on Sunday and accused of beating his former girlfriend – the second time in a month he was accused of mistreating the same woman. He had already been arrested on August 17 and released on bail.

His first arrest was centered on four incidents of abuse, including punching and throat seizures several times between April 2017 and June 2018.

Davis was sentenced again in jail this weekend on additional charges on the part of a traveling companion and the violation of protection orders, according to a arrest warrant issued Saturday.

A LSU football player accused of punching and catching his girlfriend several times afterwards was arrested on Friday as a police officer.

The warrant was issued after the LSU police had "evidence of batteries that have occurred since Davis was released on bail (and) ordered to have no contact with the victim". Police say Davis has abused the victim twice since his release.

The term also refers to Davis as a former LSU student. University spokesman, Ernie Ballard III, said Davis was still technically a student but that he had been suspended from his school last month. This means that it goes through the LSU's "Advocacy and Accountability Process" to determine the outcome – which, according to Ballard, could include deportation, longer suspension or probation.

It is unclear whether Davis has attended the class since his temporary suspension of LSU. The address indicated on its mandate is an off-campus address: 240 West Chimes St.

Davis was suspended indefinitely from the LSU football team after his arrest on August 17.

The latest charges against him alleged that the victim, a LSU student under the warrant, was at Davis' apartment on August 26 when the two men quarreled and that Davis pushed the woman into a couch, injuring his leg. . The LSU police wrote in the report that the victim had confirmed this incident during an interview with the investigators.

A witness later reported to the police that Davis had hit the victim several times during another incident Saturday. Police said the victim "would not admit that Davis had hit her" while investigators saw that her left eye was swollen. She told investigators that she was with Davis in the early hours of the morning and that she woke up later on Saturday morning to find that she had black eyes.

"The victim would only declare that she did not know how it happened," police wrote in the warrant.

The investigators then interviewed a witness who showed them pictures of the victim's eye. The witness stated that the victim provided the photos by SMS, in accordance with the warrant. The witness also stated that it was Davis who had attacked the victim and who had reported seeing him repeatedly slapping the woman during an argument.

Davis was suspended from the LSU football team indefinitely last month. His lawyer, Marci Blaize, then stated that the victim had withdrawn his original allegations against Davis the next day, but she had refused to provide the lawyer with a copy of the woman's statement. A judge then ordered Davis at 10 pm curfew and have no contact with the former girlfriend involved in the reported incidents.

Blaize confirmed Sunday that Davis was back in jail. She said that she had only received limited information on the latest charges, but that her bond will be fixed in the coming days, probably Monday.

Davis was held in the parish jail this weekend on three counts of loving partner – one count and two counts of indictment – and two counts of violation. protection order.
