NEW YORK – Yankees right-winger Luis Severino will start the wild card match with the American League for New York, coach Aaron Boone said on Tuesday afternoon.
The Yankees will host the Oakland Athletics at 8pm. Wednesday.
Severino has won his last two starts of the regular season and a 19-8 record with a 3.39 ERA and 220 strikeouts this season. Severino has won 10 of these matches, only lost two and had a home time of 2.74.
