Macy's Trolls, Chrissy Teigen, for the 2014 Parade, while John Legend plays afloat

Macy's wants Chrissy Teigen to remember her earlier critics of the parades as her husband, John Legend, performed at the Thanksgiving Day parade in New York this year.

Legend tweeted early Thursday morning that it would soon be part of the annual party. Macy's social media team responded by quickly reminding him that Teigen had once chosen well-chosen words about the parades.

The company's Twitter account contained a screenshot of the cookbook author and model mockup in 2014, stating that she could not "imagine being bored enough to watch a parade on TV" .

Macy's Twitter account hilariously featured a side-by-side on Teigen's diss tweet and Legend's performance announcement.

Legend and Teigen both responded to Macy's tweet, recognizing he was on the mark.

Teigen, however, also insisted that she "has not yet watched" the parade. "I'm sure you loved the kid," she said about her husband.

It turns out that she was making fun of her listening habits. She then shared videos of her watching the parade – and of Legend, of course.

Nevertheless, she maintained her 2014 statement, tweeting that "the parades are weird."

"I had to be killed by a tank in a past life or something like that, I'm very uncomfortable watching that," she wrote.
