My, my, how can we resist you? We can not, in fact. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is a happy and joyous summer holiday so sunny that the public should apply the SPF 30 before entering the theater. Just like the original of 2008, this charming musical is full of successful ABBA and dancing queens on a Greek island.

More. . . he has Dear . In a platinum blonde wig. And the platform heels. And a sequined silver jacket. Sing "Fernando". Thank you! (For the music). Something crazy in a crazy movie? Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again with his sharper story, his cleaner dance and his louder voice, takes advantage of the absence of Meryl Streep . The blatant obsession of watching the world's greatest actress dancing on a bed in overalls and mixing love songs with an offside Pierce Brosnan is all in the past.

That's because, as you probably guessed by watching the trailer loop, the writers killed her character Donna. Donna's daughter, Sophie ( Amanda Seyfried ) works hard to open a hotel in her honor on the same picturesque Greek island where Donna did in the late 1970s. There are obstacles: she has difficulty managing a distance relationship with her husband ( Dominic Cooper ). A bad storm threatens to ruin the grand opening. She seeks comfort from Donna's best friends ( Christine Baranski Julie Walters ), who tells her about Mamma's own journey

in 1979, Donna ( Lily James ) said, "Life is short, the world is big, I want to make some memories." She leaves for Europe, where she deals with Bill, Sam and Harry. (Uh, yeah, just forget Donna's diary entries at the beginning of the original movie Details, shematails.) Today, the men are still played by Stellan Skarsgard Colin Firth and Brosnan . They all grew old, naturally, which prompted a local to take a look at the appearance of Skarsgard. It's a big laugh. The youngest – Josh Dylan Jeremy Irvine and Hugh Skinner – are definitely more frisky. And decent singers! The radiant James, a former big screen Cinderella, is the biggest winner of all. She is the pure sun.

Once again, ABBA songs are at the center of all these antics. Because the greatest hits were all used in Mamma Mia to prepare for unfamiliar B sides such as "When I kissed the teacher", "Angel Eyes" and what Seyfried ballad was singing when she was sad. But do not worry, Chiquitita: You will still have solid gold like "Super Trouper", "Waterloo" and the title track. The extravagance "Dancing Queen" is a show-stopper. Sitting in the dark without moving a muscle during this kind of performance is simply wrong.

Yet, despite all the excitement, the film also hits an emotional note because of Donna's death. A late scene might even bring you to tears. This helps that Seyfried, a wonderful talent with beautiful songs, is a sensitive and mature presence. No longer naive with wide-eyed eyes, she blossomed into a movie star who can wear a star-shaped musical

Seyfried said that she prefers Mamma Mia! Here I go again to the original. Although this is the typical party line when promoting a movie, I believe it. There is a moment when James, the sun going through his golden hair, sits on the water and asks one of his suitors to stay with her on the Greek island. Quite frankly, his "joie de vivre" speech made me question all the decisions of my life, including the one in which I live in a sweaty metropolis. The humidity of Greek life does not even affect people's hair!

We should all find a way to go overseas and bask in an ABBA paradise with bright lights. Until then, let's sit down and take the time of our lives.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again opens on Friday, June 20
