A man has been indicted in the separate murder of two Tucson girls – Isabel Celis and Maribel Gonzales, officials said at a press conference today.
Six-year-old Isabel, whose remains were discovered in early March 2017 in Pima County, in the north-west of the countryside, was shot in her city center. and Maribel, 13, whose body was found in June 2014 in the same general area disappeared after telling her family that she was going to visit a friend.
The big break in business occurred in 2017 when the FBI received advice regarding a man who might have information about Isabel's disappearance.
On March 3, 2017, after talking to Christopher Clements, officials were able to find Isabel's remains.
They were discovered in the same area where Maribel's body had been found.
Clements, 36, was charged on Friday with 22 charges related to the murder of the two girls. These include two counts of first degree murder; two counts of kidnapping a minor; and a burglary head of a residential structure.
Clements has also been indicted for 14 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. These charges stem from allegations Clements was dealing with child pornography.
