A man entered the Sup Dogs restaurant in Greenville, New Brunswick on Saturday, and ordered two waters.
He drank a few sips and then left $ 10,000 cash on a table with a note saying "thank you for this delicious water," said Sup Dogs owner Brett Oliverio.
"He turned out to be a YouTube star, Mr. Beast," said Oliverio. "They filmed the server's reaction as she was recovering the money. Crazy."
Sup Dogs in downtown Greenville is a favorite of residents and students of East Carolina University, and guests have left big tips before – but nothing like it.
"It's the biggest of all times," Oliverio said. "Second closest was $ 500."
"Good people are still doing good things these days," said Beast, according to Oliverio.
The waiter who gave his waters to Mr. Beast was Alaina Custer, student in ecu. She kept a tip, but "wanted to share it" with the rest of the staff, Oliverio said.
"I did not think it was real," said Custer. "I picked it up and it was a giant pile of hundreds. I was shaking and I did not stop asking Bret: "What is it?" I thought someone was kidding me. "
Custer said that when Mr. Beast left his table, there were two other men at another table "just watching my reaction and filming. I was so shocked that I did not even realize that he was filming before. "
After putting the waters back on the table, Custer said that she had given Mr. Beast and another man with whom he was sitting with a moment to look at their menus. When she returned, they were gone, leaving the money and the ticket on a napkin with the money marker.
"I tried to count, but I was shaking too much and it was too much to count," she said.
When Custer went to serve a second table with the two men who had a camera, she asked if she knew what was going on with the generous advice.
She added that the men had asked her to subscribe to Mr. Beast's YouTube channel.
"They just told me about their YouTube channel and how they blessed the server day," she said. Afterwards, Mr. Beast and the other man returned to join the crew and Custer stated that she had kissed them all.
"I was so lucky to have that money," she said. "I mean, most of us at Sup Dogs are school kids and that will help me a lot. We had to separate everything, which would help a lot of people. "
Mr. Beast is a North American Jimmy named YouTuber in North Carolina, with over 8.8 million subscribers who have made several videos featuring major donations, such as $ 30,000 for his favorite Twitch streamer, a $ 20,000 loss from a drone, $ 10,000 cash changeover and more.
