An organizer of a pro-life event in Toronto received a round kick from a counter-protester after she approached him for erasing several signs during the silent demonstration of anti-abortion.
Marie-Claire Bissonnette said she and thousands of other pro-life men, women and children gathered Sunday at 200 corners of the street in Toronto to demonstrate peacefully while holding anti-abortion signs . A video recorded on a cell phone by Bissonnette shows an unidentified man arguing with her about a hypothetical abortion in adolescence after she asked him to stop scoring people. After she told the man that a 16-year-old man who had been raped should "keep his child", the man gets up and Roundhouse kicks him in. the shoulder, sending his phone flying away.
The video of his hit reception went viral online, receiving hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, Facebook and WorldstarHipHop.
Bissonnette writes in Life Site News that she approached only the twenty-year-old man who then assaulted her after "vandalizing" several pro-life protesters' shirts and placards. The man used markers to weave and degrade so-called signs with phrases such as "Abortion Hurts Women" and "Abortion Kills Children". Several other picket signs urged women to adopt an adoption system rather than an abortion and others showed the phone numbers of the Toronto Pregnancy Help Centers.
The video recorded by Bissonnette shows the assault that took place at the corner of Bloor and Keele Streets, where she can be heard telling her that undoing the protesters' shirts is a "destruction of private property".
The man then offers him an abortion hypothesis: "If someone gets raped by someone, he will say," I am 16 years old and I can not have this baby. " Do you think you should keep it? he asks, holding a thumbs up and thumbs down.
"It's a baby," answers Bissonnette. "Someone is raped and she gave birth, and then she decided to kill her three-year-old child."
As she says, the man puts his body in a position of strength before taking a dramatic break and kicking him above the waist. The camera shows that the phone is falling apart while she screams for others to call the police. "I wanted to hit your phone," the man said. Bissonnette stated that he then grabbed a ribbon from his chest and started running.
According to Bissonnette's Life Site account, the police were reluctant to help her after she explained to her what had happened, telling her that she should bring him to justice if she filed a complaint. "What do you want us to do about it," she says. The man remains unidentified.
