A passenger plane taking off from Russia 's busiest airport crashed and killed an Armenian while he allegedly fled during his deportation.
Russian officials said the 25-year-old was dead after being hit by a Boeing 737 landing gear as he was taking off on a Moscow-Athens flight on Tuesday evening. Sheremetyevo Airport.
The man, locally named Albert Yepremyan, was reportedly discovered after the crew asked the air traffic control to investigate the incident, thinking he hit an animal in the dark.
Mr Yepremyan was reportedly about to be deported from Spain after being placed on a Madrid-Moscow flight.
He was then to be transferred on a flight to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, but escaped on the runway by being placed in a bus from the airport taxiway.
"The man walked out of the airport gate when he boarded a Moscow-Yerevan flight, went to the bus, but quickly took the lead instead of going up," said an unnamed official. Sheremetyevo at the Russian news agency Interfax.
"On the flight from Madrid, Mr. Yepremyan had started a fight. After the landing, the police were called on board and stopped him.

The aircraft involved in the incident reportedly landed safely at Athens International Airport later that evening.
Ground crews found damage to the fuselage and human remains outside the aircraft.
In a statement, Sledkom, the main Russian federal investigating body, said he had opened criminal proceedings concerning the death of Mr. Yepremyan.
The organization said it would determine if the incident violates air transport safety rules.
"After following the procedure of recording the flight, the man reunited with the other passengers and then boarded the plane," Sledkom said.
"Then, in circumstances that are not yet known, the young man, embarking on a deck bus, headed for the runways of the airport.
"After that, the man entered track number two, in the Alpha taxiway area, where he was mortally wounded by the Boeing 737's acceleration."
