They have already made such an advantage not to just beat the "14 others", but to beat them after scoring 24 goals in seven games against them: an average of 3.43.
The fact that they have added to that on the other side, ensuring clean leaves in big matches, only shows how balanced they are.
And that's the thing. They managed to believe that Guardiola was right, but that they seemed to be able to improve, but that they had several levels to go through.
We just feel they have not reached the peaks of fluidity and cohesion last season. They are now unraveling their sides with beautiful quality and muscle memory, rather than the truly elaborate movements they are capable of. And it's only a matter of time before they really start offering it, especially now that Kevin De Bruyne is back from his injury.
It's just something else, to bring down in the league. City has arrived at this position without his best player, without this playmaker who really pushes his intensity deep.
If all that sounds a bit hard for a Liverpool team that has not reached its best level of attack itself, it's just that it's hard not to think it will solve this problem, to have players like De Bruyne to come.

No matter what Liverpool does, City will simply have too much chance of winning. Liverpool will have to end up surpassing themselves while the Guardiola team will always have this little extra to offer.
Guardiola is certain that they have more to give of this. This: an incredibly strong position, of the type that the English league has rarely seen.
And they "can improve". These are the words that are more disturbing than the numbers.
