MILWAUKEE – Manny Machado, Milwaukee Pariah.

It's an unlikely role, to be sure, but one that will be played on Friday night in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series.

It was Machado's first trip to Miller's Park since his intentional kick of Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar in Game 4 of the NLCS on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium.

The crowd was ready.

The first mention of his name was a cacophony of boos and then, even before public-address announcer Lane Grindle could announce his at-bat, the ability crowd bathed Machado in a full-throated jeer.

Machado strolled to the plate and tapped home-plate Brian Gorman umpire with his bat, but Brewers catcher Erik Kratz stepped away before Machado could acme him.

Goodness. Aaron Rodgers has a "quarterback system."

Brewers starter Wade Miley seemed to break a bit on the mound so the chorus could reach a crescendo. Then, he struck out Machado and the crowd roared its delight.

They waved signs with such slogans, "Manny Machado is not a nice person," and "Manny Machado kicks dogs," and were even verbose upon Machado's second at-bat, which ended quickly with a pop-out to third base.

Machado, who was fined $ 10,000 by Major League Baseball for his bad baserunning move, is a free agent after the season, expected to draw a contract of a quarter-billion dollars.

Wherever he lands, it seems his antics in this NLCS will not be forgotten on his returns to Miller Park.
