Marcus Mariota will prepare for Sunday's tilt against the Houston Texans. How much he will play remains to be seen.
The Tennessee Titans Quarterback is officially active for Week 2.
We do not know how much the face of the franchise will play. Blaine Gabbert could start and play the majority of shots.
Mariota and Gabbert both faced the match routine on Sunday morning, but the first did not do much.
NFL Network Ian Rapoport reported that Mariota had suffered a pinch in the elbow during last week's loss to the Miami Dolphins. Saturday night, the QB had not regained the total feel in his fingers, so he might not be able to grab the ball well enough to throw a lot, if at all.
The Titans only have two quarterbacks after not signing an emergency call this weekend, despite Mariota's dubious status.
Mariota struggling to hold the ball, it could only be used on racing games, noted Rapoport.
The Titans are missing from both starting offensives: Jack Conklin (knee) and Taylor Lewan (concussion) and Dennis Kelly (illness).
If Mariota can not correctly grasp the ball to throw, it will be interesting to see what the Titans' attack looks like if Gabbert is injured. Stay tuned.
