Space-loving children from around the world will experience Mars, where settlements are being planned. Colonial animation modules and three-dimensional video mapping technologies will enable aspiring astronauts from Turkey to learn more about the red planet. The Space Camp Turkey, one of three space camps at World, hosts children of great geography with its space science programs and technological content each year. In the camp, they will have the opportunity to learn about Mars, where a human mission is scheduled for 2024.

Modules in which the first colony of Mars will be animated will be at the camp and the children will be able to see the characteristics and the structure of this planet. They will also learn about the difficulties of life on Mars and overcome them.

Camp participants will experience life on Mars with interactive modules, such as habitat, research and supply, hydroponics and lab units. Written by Space Camp Turkey workers, short films about life on Mars will be screened with 3D video mapping technology.

In the film, information on the difficulties of life on Mars and the technologies needed to overcome these difficulties will be provided.

Participants will be informed of the characteristics of the planet and the scientific work in progress with the activities carried out in this area.

Faruk Güler, chairman of the executive board of the Aegean Free Zone Development and Exploitation Company, which created Space Camp Turkey, told the Anadolu (AA) agency that the camp had been opened in 2000.

Drawing attention to the fact that the only space camp with the exception of the United States and Canada is in Turkey, Mr Güler said that 230,000 space enthusiasts from 60 countries had followed the training program organized at the camp in 18 years.

"It is a very good environment to attract attention.Participants from 60 countries meet and form bonds of friendship. We increase the interest and enthusiasm of students in Turkey, but also in our geography. 'space', he said.

He added that the children who participated in the camp were inclined to choose the departments in this field at the university.

Rıza Tolga Yıldırım, responsible for outreach activities at the Turkey Space Camp, stressed that her goal was to allow children to experience the survival of astronauts on Mars in 2030.

He added that they wanted children to learn how astronauts would work on Mars, how they would live, what difficulties they would encounter and how they would overcome them, by experience.

Yıldırım said they had established a training zone, "Generation Mars," with information that they had received from NASA sources and "their imagination."

He added that each module of the colony will be presented to the participants, which will give them the opportunity to perceive life on Mars as a whole.

Alyssa Carson, 17, who trains at NASA to participate in the first human mission on Mars, sent a video message to Generation Mars visitors.

Carson mentioned in his message that scientists and engineers are working on many ideas for the colonization of Mars.

"Mars is in fact the next giant step for humanity, discovering the red planet and colonizing will pose the most important problems of this generation. With the new Mars exhibition Space Camp Turkey, the new generation will be on point to reveal his mysteries of Mars and understand how to live and work on the red planet ".
