The Marvel film universe can carry us into a fantastic world of superheroes, but many of its most important movie scenes take place in New York. In a recent video of Vanity Fair(Almost) All the Marvel movie scenes taking place in the Big Apple are located on a map of the city, taking viewers on a tour of New York through Marvel's story.
The underlined scenes range from background stories of these founding characters – such as Peter Parker's hometown in Steve Rogers' Queens and Brooklyn – to scenes that take place in familiar places. The video also identifies Marvel fictional buildings to their actual neighborhoods / counterparts, such as the S.H.I.E.L.D. base next to Times Square, the Stark Expo (in The Iron Man 2) at Flushing Meadows Park, and this Stark Tower, which is actually the MetLife building.
