Disney's first full trailer Return of Mary Poppins has finally landed, and fans might have to watch it twice to catch all the fantastic details.
The story of classic children returns to the big screen with British actress Emily Blunt taking over the iconic role of Julie Andrews as a magical and adored nanny. Although this second version will certainly benefit from improvements in computer animation since the 1964 version, this new trailer – which deposited on Hello America Monday – suggests that the film will be filled with vintage fun.
In the overview, Blunt, 35, makes an epic entry when one of the next generation members of Bankses plays outside, in London, in the era of depression .
"I was flying a kite and he caught a nanny!" He screams with delight as his father Michael (Ben Whishaw) and Aunt Jane (Emily Mortimer) – Mary's initial charges – look at her in shock.
In just a few moments, Blunt's Poppins recalls the ways of life of Michael and Jane, surprising children with his umbrella in levitation and weaving cartoon magic at home.
