Oh Happy Day! And no, I do not mean that literally.
After several teasing, Mayans M.C. Season 1, Episode 10 finally revealed the person who was behind the death of Ms. Reyes eight years ago. The revelation was stuffing.
Seriously, it was a major turning point that could take Mayans M.C. in so many different directions!
Of all possible suspects on my list, Happy from Sons of Anarchy was not included. When he appeared for the first time, it did not even occur to me that he was going to be used other than as a brief cameo.
Obviously, this will not be the case after this major revelation. Death took place eight years ago, and after Mayans, M.C. Season 1 Episode 1 that Gemma was alive and well at the time.
So, that means Jax, and maybe even Clay was alive. Could the Sons of Anarchy be at the root of Ms. Reyes' success?

They must be, right? There is no chance that Happy's participation in the murder is a solo job.
It was the perfect cliffhanger. Now, there is nothing left to wait until May 1985 for Mayans M.C. Season 2. This should not take too much time.
The happy revelation was cherry on a delicious sundae. I was worried about this episode considering the quality of Mayans M.C. Season 1 Episode 9 was. The show tends to be inconsistent.
However, Mayans M.C. managed to deliver two consecutive episodes of first-rate and thanked actor Clayton Cardenas. Angel delivered an incredible emotional depth.
It was a man who was stuck in a corner forced to choose between his brother and his morality. Despite his actions, he chose to protect his brother and killed his cousin.
EZ: We're supposed to be back soon. I picked up the bag of Alvarez and ordered the pop meat.
Angel: We've just wasted two authorities, and you're afraid to be late for the party?
Angel was clearly shaken by what he had done. Killing Jiminez is something that he could never recover and it is obvious that he is disappointed to have done so.
I do not see the relationship between EZ and Angel improve so soon. Angel seemed so disgusted with EZ. Rightly, he feels as if EZ had made him do as much as Potter.

If EZ or Felipe were honest with him about the contract with EZ, Angel might have found a way to get them out of trouble without having to kill Jiminez.
Adelita was the only person who could see her pain and, although I've never been a big fan of hers, I have to admit that she and Angel have amazing chemistry. His love is exactly what Angel could use now.
Adelita: Angel, do you want to stay? Spend the night?
Angel: More than you know. But not one night I hate myself so much.
While Angel could not hide his feelings, EZ was damn good at that. Perhaps it was because EZ had killed officer Bowen and not his own cousin like Angel, but EZ had remained stoic and cold after their death.
Does he have remorse or is there a part of him that is happy that everything is over and who has more to worry about his contract?
The conversation between Felipe and EZ at the beginning of the episode gave the impression of prefiguring season 2.
EZ, you can not let Potter turn you into a monster. It's not who you are.

Did EZ exploit his dark side? Especially now that he has moved away from his brother and asked Bishop to sponsor him, he may end up doing things more and more deplorable for Mr.C.
Angel has protected him from seeing anything too dark up to now. However, now that there is a break between them, nothing can stop EZ from getting involved with the club.

He might even drop some bodies just to prove to Bishop that he deserves to be a full member.
Anyway, the EZ we knew about Mayans M.C. Season 1 is over and Season 2 will present us with a different EZ, one that is a bit more broken and damaged.
The Reyes family was not the only person to have made major changes in life. Alvarez officially left the MC! It was pretty depressing to see the member who had the longest tenure in the club hanging his jacket, but at least he will get a raise!
He may not wear the vest anymore, but Alvarez will play a much bigger role in season 2. As Miguel's personal adviser, Alvarez has even more power and influence than he does. Had before.

It will be interesting to see how Alvarez adapts to this transition in his life and how he will interact with MC now that he is no longer one of them, but their boss.
Bishop and Alvarez had such a strong connection, but will there be a conflict between them now that Alvarez no longer wears the vest?
