US Senate candidates Martha McSally and Kyrsten Sinema will participate in the Arizona State-Utah match on Saturday, in front of tens of thousands of viewers at a high-profile sporting event just three days before the election.

McSally, a two-term congressman representing a district based in Tucson, is scheduled to sing the national anthem.

Sinema, a three-member congressman representing a district in the Phoenix area, will take part in the draw before the match begins.

Candidates are stuck in a heat wave to replace outgoing US Senator Jeff Flake, R.-Arizona, who does not run for re-election.

The ASU hosts Utah, with the bidding being announced for 13 hours.

The national anthem is usually led by the ASU band. McSally has already sung the national anthem, including before a Suns game in January and an Arizona Wildcats basketball game in February.

Saturday is also ASU's homecoming, with the annual parade starting at 9 am on University Drive between Myrtle and McAllister Avenues.
