Elegant spirits meet!
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton came out on Wednesday for solo engagements that matter to them – Meghan at Hubb Community Kitchen, where she helped prepare a meal with the women with whom she created a cookbook to support their cause, and Kate at University College London for an update on neurological research serving children's well-being. And the two royals opted for the perfect fall hue: the burgundy.

Kate, 36, came out of a recycled skirt and Paule Ka's matching blazer over a turtleneck. The mother of three made her debut during her engagement in 2012 at the Middle Temple in London, where she met a group of law students with Prince William. In February 2017, she again pulled out her entire royal closet for a visit to a children's charity in Wales.
Meanwhile, Meghan has opted for a similar hue with more purple tones for her Thanksgiving Eve release. The Duchess of Sussex, who is expecting her first child in the spring with Prince Harry, wore a matching collar dress and coat from Club Monaco with boots from Givenchy (her wedding dress designer!).

In addition to wearing the same color, the royal sisters-in-law opted for black tights, black shoes and pulled their hair in little ponytails.

The release of Meghan also came with another reminder of her sister-in-law. The mother-to-be helped cook rice and vegetables in the kitchen by tying an apron around her waist to prepare the food.
Just last week, Kate wore an apron for a visit to Centrepoint, a charity for the homeless, with William.

The apparitions come as Prince William and Prince Harry plan to break up their common "courtyard" at Kensington Palace and create two separate offices.
With William one day ready to become the Prince of Wales – and all that that implies as heir to his father, Prince Charles – Harry and Meghan will want to make their own way. It is therefore a natural moment to separate, believe the initiates. (The palace has no comment.)
"The arrival of Meghan changed the dynamics of the relationship quite significantly," Sally Bedell Smith, author of royal royals, told PEOPLE. "It's inevitable and practical as it gives Harry and Meghan some freedom to build their own collection of interests and charities."
