The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Wednesday took a series of fights in the historic county. The royal couple, who knotted the knot in May, joined hands during the royal street bath and welcomed the locals.

And when they posed for a photo during their visit to the Joff Youth Center, they sat side by side on the couch, holding hands.

Meghan was not the only one not to stop holding Harry's hand! Earlier in the day, a local teacher, Charlotte Sleep, shook hands with the prince and jokingly said, "I'm not going to let go of your hand!" Harry replied with a smile, "Please, do it!

As soon as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle publicly announced their love story last year, it was clear that they were not afraid to show their PDA. And these displays of affection continue since Meghan became an official king two months ago.

"They are not afraid to hold hands. They do not mind showing off their emotions, "royal photographer Mark Stewart told Stewart earlier.

Arry and Meghan have, in a memorable fashion, parade hand-in-hand at the Invictus Games in Toronto in September 2017 (their first public event!). The timing was strong for royal fans as members of the royal family (such as Prince William, Harry's brother, and Kate Middleton) rarely showed their PDA – especially during official releases.

These moments of intimacy were highlighted during almost all the events they attended together (aside from appearing alongside the queen!).

"Meghan is used to being very light, and Harry is the same," PEOPLE told former palace spokesman Dickie Arbiter. "Harry has always been tactile."

"While Prince Harry and Meghan are holding hands atypical for the Royal Engagement, it's apparently a welcome gesture to show unity and celebrate their engagement period," said PEOPLE, Myka Meier, expert in royal etiquette. "There is no protocol that says they can not show affection during their official commitments, and this gesture makes them accessible to the public."
