Their day will begin with a visit to the Maranui Café in the nation's capital, where they will meet with youth working to help people with mental health issues.

They will then head to Abel Tasman National Park, a nature reserve on the northern tip of New Zealand's South Island, known for its natural beauty and fur seal colonies.

The royal couple will visit the site before participating in a barbecue with young people.

The Duke and Duchess will then return to Wellington for an evening at Courtenay Creative, a hub of the New Zealand film industry that opened two weeks ago.

Update at 05:02: Prince Harry "very interested" in the fight for mental health

Genevieve Mora, co-founder of the "Voices of Hope" mental health charity, met Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their visit to Maranui Cafe.

She said, "Harry was very interested, they both asked a lot of questions.

"I talked about my personal experience, feeling a lot of shame, and he was really interested in understanding why I felt so ashamed about it."

Update at 10:00 am: A royal couple on the way to Abel Tasman National Park

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently heading to Abel Tasman National Park.

They will receive a traditional welcoming ceremony before visiting the site and visiting the conservation projects managed by the New Zealand Government.

Harry and Meghan comforted a schoolboy who was overwhelmed when he met the royal couple in front of a coffee shop in Wellington.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Maranui Café on Monday to meet with mental health workers and discuss their work.

Ten students from the nearby Houghton Valley School were fortunate enough to meet the couple as they were leaving the cafe, one of the children delivering flowers to Meghan.
