Meghan Markle does not need to follow archaic fashion rules.
During a visit to Loughborough University with Prince Harry on Monday, the Duchess of Sussex wore a chic and navy blue top by Oscar de la Renta and an Altuzarra black pants – a color combination that some style experts have found out of reach.
But the color contrast can be sharp, especially when wearing an outfit like Meghan's.
Dean Handspiker, vice president of design at Men at Indochino, said in a HuffPost article published in 2017: "You can absolutely" combine navy and black. "But the look must be intentional and perfectly polite."
Combining a thin black turtleneck with a navy blue blazer and black pants, he is elegant and sophisticated, he said. "But if you have not taken into account the details and that the fit and fabrics are out of date, then you will feel like you are dressing in the dark."

Meghan combined his look with black heels, which did not interfere with his performance in some exercises when meeting with Coach Core.
Coach Core is a learning program that helps people aged 16 to 24 to become sports coaches.
The Duchess of Sussex has come out of a busy week.
Last week, Kensington Palace unveiled a secret project she was working on – a collaboration with women affected by the deadly fire at the Grenfell Tower in London. Meghan wrote the front for the book.
"I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen. it's a place where women can laugh, cry, cook and cook together, "wrote the former actress of" Suits "in a statement posted on the Royal Foundation's website last week.

Later in the week, Meghan hosted an event to celebrate the launch of the cookbook. She brought Harry and his mother, Doria Ragland, who flew over the special launch.
