It is reported to be an unwritten rule in the Royal Family that wears nude tights to public events.

Wearing tights is apparently Queen's "only rule", with Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, always adhering to the rule when out in public.

The Queen's Royal Rule was revealed by Royal Expert Victoria Arbiter in an interview with Insider magazine.

She said: "You never see a royal without their nude stockings.

"I would say that's really the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of what the Queen requires."
