A preview of the upcoming HBO documentary Queen of the worldMeghan Markle talks about the secret tribute to her first date with Prince Harry hidden in his spectacular 16-foot wedding veil.
While having the chance to see her dress for the first time after knotting the knot in May, Meghan, 37, reveals the special importance behind a "piece of blue fabric" stitched inside.
"Somewhere, there's a piece of blue fabric stitched inside – that's my blue," Meghan remarks as he inspects the veil in the video above.
Gently, she adds, "it's the fabric of the dress that I wore to our first date".

Of course, the veil of the length of the cathedral also represented a special connection with the Commonwealth.
The bridal headgear, made of silk tulle, was adorned with hand-embroidered flowers in each of the 53 counties of the Commonwealth, the family of nations linked to the United Kingdom, in yarn and organza.
"I'm really on the moon to discover that I would make this choice for our day together," says Meghan in another clip. Stylist Clare Waight Keller previously told PEOPLE that the idea came to her after several conversations with Meghan about "the story" that she wanted to tell with the celebration.

"There was a conversation about the story we were going to tell through this marriage," she said. "Part of what I wanted to do was tell him what kind of stories they might be. The documentary features members of the Royal Family speaking about Queen Elizabeth and the Commonwealth – and it will air just before Harry and Meghan travel to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga for their first official country tour Commonwealth.
A palace source has already told PEOPLE that Meghan is participating in "a conversation, a remote conversation" for the film. The series will also feature appearances by Harry, Prince Charles and Prince William.
