According to a new YouGov poll, the Duchess of Sussex noted that her husband was very popular, but that Meghan's popularity had been undermined by her husband, Prince Harry.
The Duchess is 6th on the popularity list, behind Harry, the Queen, Prince William, Kate and Prince Philip.
Meghan is more popular with women than men. After emerging, 61% of women preferred the duchess to 50% of men.
Gen Xers and Gen Xers – those born after 1965 – are more favorable to Meghan than baby boomers born before 1949.
The Duchess ranked 5th among the youngest, while the older pollsters ranked her at the bottom of the list, placing her in 8th place among the most popular royal baby boomers.
Meghan follows retired Prince Philip, who holds 5th place with 56% approval and ahead of Prince Charles, who ranks 7th with 48%.
The Duchess of Sussex – who is nearly four months pregnant – joined the royal family in May and may not have had the time to gain as much favoritism as other more established members of the family Royal.
In contrast, Prince Harry, Meghan's husband, is ranked Royal among the most popular British royals, with 77% of voters voting in favor.
The British described the prince as friendly, humorous, sincere and cheerful, according to YouGov's study.
Harry's popularity did not go unnoticed after his wedding ceremony with Meghan had seen thousands of royal fans gather in the streets of Windsor earlier in May.
After the Duke of Sussex, the queen took second place with 74%, followed by Prince William, ranked third with 73%.
Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge sits right after her husband William and finished fourth on the list with 64%.Since Kate married William in 2011, the Duchess has adapted to the royal life with elegance and composure and has quickly become the fan favorite over the years.
However, the Duchess of Cornwall ranked much lower on the list, with only 29% of pollsters having a positive opinion of her.
Camilla ranks 10th on the list, ahead of Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, who rank 11th and 12th, respectively.
Thirty-six percent of British voters had a negative opinion of the Duchess of Cornwall and her negative ranking is the highest among all members of the royal family.
