Meghan Markle has just listed a burgeoning British jeweler on the fashion map.

During one of his last clashes during the royal tour with Prince Harry, Meghan came out to New Zealand with a pair of glittering earrings from jewelry brand Emily Mortimer. Today, the jeweler, who works in a small studio in Suffolk, makes sales around the world.

"It's an incredible feeling when someone like her, probably the most photographed woman in the world at the moment, is wearing your ear curls," Mortimer told PEOPLE. "I just went online to see what she was wearing during the tour and I came across her. I was ecstatic!

The jeweler, who had started her business just three years ago, sent Meghan a pair of teardrop pieces in yellow gold and white topaz last November.

"It was a personal gift, and I had no idea until that moment she had received it!" Said Mortimer.

Wearing earrings worth 453 dollars at a reception at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, Meghan chooses to wear glittering jewels with her tuxedo-style navy dress Antonio Berardi.

"She looked incredible!" Said the jeweler, who immediately called all her family to tell her the good news.

"I'm an unknown brand in the scheme of things, so it's nice to see people around the world buy my jewelery," says Mortimer, a London-based jeweler's protege Kiki McDonough, a brand often worn by Meghan's sister. Kate Middleton's mother-in-law. "We have had many sales around the world, especially in Australia and the United States. It's very exciting and I feel really honored. "
