Okay, so Meghan Markle's dog could not go to the royal wedding.

You may remember that dog lovers across the Internet were disappointed when a viral video, meant to show the beagle ride with Queen Elizabeth II at her master's May wedding, was revealed to be images of the day before.

THE DAILY SPIKE: BACK TO SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN – AND DOGS

It does not matter. Partly because of this frenzy, Simon & Schuster publishes a whimsical book about the dog's story, titled "His Royal Dogness, Guy the Beagle: The Remarkable Story of Meghan Markle's Rescue Dog".

The 20 November version, written by Camille March and Michael Brumm and illustrated by EG Keller, describes Guy's challenges as a captive prisoner of death. "There are no fancy papers, no high-level education and no mastery of the British paparazzi," says a summary of Simon & Schuster.

Things turn around Guy when the queen gets into a stalemate and saves the day, finally teaching her the true meaning of the family.

Like viral video, the narrative arc of the book is not exactly true. But everyone loves an underdog story.
