The cookbook supported by Meghan Markle is on the right track!

Together: Our Community Cookbook has sold nearly 11,000 copies in the UK alone during its first week and is at the top of the rankings, according to the official list by The bookstore. It's number six on the Amazon cards of all the books in the United States too.

The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex launched the recipe book with the women who created the recipes at a special Kensington Palace party last week.

In a surprise gesture, her proud mother, Doria Ragland, accompanied her with her husband, Prince Harry – who quietly enjoyed some of the bites offered.

Meghan wrote the foreword of the book, which features recipes from women whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire, during which more than 70 people died. last year.

The women set up Hubb Community Kitchenin's response to the tragedy and Meghan was inspired to help after their visit in January. She suggested creating the book and, with the Royal Foundation, helping them find a publisher to raise funds to keep the kitchen open longer.

Thanking those who helped with the book, Meghan said at the launch last week: "It's more than a cookbook and what I mean by that, the power of food is more than just a meal. It's the story behind that.

"And when you get to know the story of the recipe, you get to know the person behind it. And that's what we're talking about in terms of closeness, engagement and discussion, and celebration of what connects us rather than what divides us.
