Meghan Markle's visit to Fiji market shortens for security reasons

The Duchess of Sussex was scheduled to meet market vendors in Suva, Fiji, but that ended after only six minutes instead of 15 hours. When she stopped at the Suva Municipal Market, she was going to learn more about Market for Change, which is a United Nations project dedicated to empowering women.

Although Meghan is surrounded by security guards, the Kensington Palace announced that large crowds were the main cause of his early departure from the market.

Saturday, the palace also announced that the duchess was going to "reduce" some events after a busy schedule during her first week in Australia for her first royal tour with Prince Harry. In a statement, the palace said: "After a busy schedule, the Duke and Duchess have decided to slightly reduce the Duchess's program for the next few days, in anticipation of the last week and a half of the tour."

On their first full day in Sydney, members of the Royal Family happily announced that they were expecting their first child together. Since then, she rocks her baby bump and shines in the South Pacific.

At an event on Sydney's famous Bondi Beach, Meghan spoke to Charlotte Waverley, 35, about her pregnancy and feelings. Waverley then told reporters: "Meghan told me that the pregnancy was like jet lag." She said she was getting up at 4:30 this morning to do yoga in her room because she could not to sleep."

Prince Harry and Meghan arrived in Fiji after about a week in Australia, where they helped launch the 2018 Invictus Games. Tuesday night, members of the royal family had dinner with the President of Fiji Jioji Konrote as well as the first lady Sarote Konrote and the speaker of parliament Dr. Jiko Luveni.

Meghan was wearing a blue cape dress designed by Safiyaa, which prompted some people to wonder if she was suggesting that she would have a baby. However, the color of the dress was "Fijian blue", which is a direct sign of the country visited.

At dinner, Prince Harry explained why Fiji was important to him and what it meant to his family. "This visit is particularly nostalgic for us as a young married couple," he told his guests. "My grandparents have stayed at this very hotel, the Grand Pacific, many times over the years."
