Megyn Kelly told Us Weekly that she had inside information about Matt Lauer, the network's golden boy.
"I know too much that others do not know," Kelly said after the magazine asked her if she thought Lauer could make a comeback after his epic scandal of sexual misconduct.
The comment was not well received by some NBC veterans.
"There were a lot of dark circles. What does she really know? She is not close to anyone here, "taunted an insider.
The insider added, "She processes the # MeToo movement. People count the days until she leaves. "
Kelly added, "All I'm going to say is that I'm very attached to #MeToo coverage and the importance of doing it without fear or favor."
A source close to Kelly said he believed that the friendly staff members at Lauer were behind the dissent of our Kelly insider.
