Melania Trump would like you to believe that she can not take a break. But never forget: she is always an asset, and the lies come with the territory.
The First Lady unveiled another Trump lie to the world on Friday night. In June, when immigrant families were separating at the US border were deeply upset by the public and political authorities, Melania wore a jacket with the words bombed: "I do not really care, is not it? "Not?"
Worse, First Lady Trump was traveling at that time to visit children detained in Texas.
It was a dull feeling to express at the time, but the First Lady's office defended her fashion choices, claiming it was "just a jacket." Now we know better, thanks to Trump herself.
In a sitdown with ABC News on Friday, Trump revealed that the jacket was intended to carry a message, but this message was not aimed at detained children. For those who keep accounts at home: the jacket was still your deaf, but we now know that the explanation "just a jacket" was actually only a lie.
After pondering the question of whether she would have had the media coverage that she had made if she had not worn the jacket (huh?), Melania says "it's obvious that I'm not Did not wear the jacket for the kids. "
She continued, "I was wearing the jacket to get in and out of the plane, and it was for the people and for the left wing media that were criticizing me, and I want to show them that I'm going to be in the air. You could criticize what you mean … but it will not stop me [from doing] what I feel is right. "
Tom Llamas of ABC asked Melania, "So you were to send a message with the jacket? "
Melania agreed. "It was a kind of message, yes."
The revelation, while not particularly surprising to some, has not generated enthusiasm on social media. Melania says she wants people to focus on what she does rather than on what she wears, but – as ABC's interview shows – what she does involve, at least partially, to lie to the American public when it is politically useful to do so.
