Marden said the threats she has received are varied. "Someone was going to hit me with their car.Someone was going to take me a baseball bat.Someone would have liked me to be raped and then killed."
Stephanie Grisham, spokeswoman for the first lady, called for a boycott of T.I's music in response to the generous publication on Twitter. "How is this acceptable?" A tweeted Grisham this weekend.
Marden said she had never intended to make a political statement, noting that she was actually Canadian.
"It was an opportunity for me to get out of my comfort zone and play the first lady – yes, naked, which I had never done before," she said.
But she added that she thought that Melania should not have been offended in the first place.
"The first woman's husband does a lot of bullying himself," Marden said. "So they have thick skin, if I insulted and degraded it would be one thing, but I do not think I was it."
In a new video that she gave exclusively to Inside Edition and that she turned herself, Marden channels the first lady again, wearing the same coat – but this time she has a message.
"Yes, I was naked, but I had it before," says Marden in the video, referring to the famous filming of Melania's nude magazine two decades ago.
"Death threats are not necessary," adds Marden, like Melania. "Life is short, relax."
