If you went to the Michigan Renaissance Festival, you may have been exposed to hepatitis A.

Someone with the disease went to the festival in Holly, Michigan, while he was sick.

All those who went to the festival are invited to obtain a preventive vaccine.

The festival was held from September 1 to September 3 and the vaccine must be administered within two weeks of potential exposure.

The County Health Department of Grand Traverse offers vaccinations against hepatitis A until Saturday at 1 pm.

The Grand Traverse County Health Department says people need to take this risk seriously.

"It's a more serious illness. For some, this can be sweet, but during this [statewide] epidemic, the hospitalization rate was very high, 80% and 28 deaths, "said Wendy Hirschenberger, health manager.

If you were at the festival on September 3rd, you have until Monday to get the vaccine for it to be effective.
