Here is the AP summary:

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (AP) – Aaron Jones set a career record of 145 yards and two goals, Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams scored two assists and the Green Bay Packers defeated the Miami Dolphins 31-12 on Sunday.

The Packers (4-4-1) escaped in the second half, scoring goals around the interception of half-turn Bashaud Breeland in the Miami territory. Green Bay scored 28-12 on 25-yard touchdown with 7:24 left in the third quarter.

It may be the game that will inspire the Packers to get into the tight race of the NFC North after a hectic first part of the season.

Jason Sanders tied the Dolphins rookie record with four goals, but Miami (5-5) was unable to find the goal zone. The Dolphins missed another opportunity on the opening disc of the game after Brock Osweiler escaped a shotgun.

The Packers also benefited from this turnover when Rodgers and Adams scored for the first touchdown for a 7-0 lead.

But Jones, who finished with 15 races, gave Green Bay an essential balance.

A sharp style and an explosive explosion through the hole make Jones a threat for a big run on a carry. He scored 54 yards in total in the first game only.

Jones added a career-high 67 yards to give him 96 yards in four carries in the first quarter.

Osweiler was 23 out of 37 for a total of 213 yards on his fifth start for injured Ryan Tannehill. Miami totaled 294 yards of offense, an admirable effort considering the fact that it was missing three offensive linemen.

But Osweiler was fired six times, including three consecutive games at the end of the fourth quarter.

Rodgers was 19 out of 28 for 199 yards. Adams had four catches for 57 yards.

RECORD RUN

A 9-yard run with about 31/2 minutes left in the first quarter allowed Miami's Frank Gore to break the 500-yard mark for a 14th consecutive record-breaking season in the NFL. He broke the tie with Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton.

COSTLY KICK

Sanders kicked off the field after his fourth goal to allow the Packers to start their next practice at 40, ending with a 10-yard touchdown by Jones.

INJURY

Dolphins: RB Kenyan Drake left with a knee injury in the second quarter. … WR Davante Parker (shoulder) and Jakeem Grant (leg) left in the third quarter.

Packers: An already absent defense CB Kevin King (hamstring) lost two other starters in the first period when S Kentrell Brice left the game due to an ankle injury and linebacker Nick Perry was injured Knee. Brice (knee) and Perry (ankle) were included in the injury report last week for other ailments. … OL Lucas Patrick (concussion protocol) did not return after being hit hard while he was returning to a brief coup in the first quarter.
