Paramount Pictures played Michael B. Jordan to play John Clark in a forthcoming film series based on the popular character of Tom Clancy. Jordan will play in two movies, starting with Without remorse and then with rainbow six. The first opus serves as an original story to Clark, who later worked alongside Jack Ryan in The Cardinal of the Kremlin, Clear and present danger, and The sum of All Fears.
While Without remorse will set up Michael B. Jordan as a character of John Clark, rainbow six Clark will lead his new task force to protect the world from terrorist threats and stop playing Jack Ryan's brains. The character was played on the big screen by Willem Dafoe and Liev Schreiber in the past. For years, Paramount has been trying to tell John Clark's story on the big screen, and stars like Ryan Reynolds are about to get involved, but Jordan will now officially run the new film group.
Michael B. Jordan is on the rise after the release of Creed and this year Black Panther, both led by Ryan Coogler. Jordan played the awesome Killmonger in the movie Marvel and raised the film with his co-stars. Jordan has brought a human quality to the villain as well as a sense of morality to the MCU project, which has been hit in the past to have bad guys who have not been very well executed. Killmonger has a tragic education, as does John Clark when he loses his mother to cancer and his father in a blazing fire in Tom Clancy's novels, a familiar pain that Jordan can bring to the big screen.
In addition to being one of Tom Clancy's hit novels, rainbow six has also been adapted into a series of video games sold by Ubisoft. First – person shooter games have been coming out since the late 1990s and have sold to millions of copies around the world. The novel was released in 1998, with the first video game, and Paramount officially announced its intention to make the big screen adaptation in July 2017 with Akiva Goldsman on board to produce the project. The studio is currently meeting potential authors and filmmakers.
Michael B. Jordan will be seen in the highly anticipated Credo 2 with Sylvester Stallone then, who will be released in theaters on November 21st. Stallone joins Dolph Lundgren's Ivan Drago, while Jordan's Adonis will have to fight Drago's son, Viktor. Jordan is an ideal choice to play John Clark and direct the new Tom Clancy franchise. The young actor has played different roles over the years, which gave him the flexibility to add something, so he could just as easily add the star of the action to the mix. Variety was the first to reveal that Michael B. Jordan will be playing in Tom Clancy's ### rainbow six and Without remorse.
