Tom Clancy's character, Jack Ryan, has recently found a new home on television thanks to Amazon Prime and John Krasinski. But according to Variety, Paramount Pictures will focus on a different character for a new movie series – and Black PantherMichael B. Jordan is ready to play.

Paramount develops adaptations of Clancy's books Without remorse and rainbow six, both focused on the character of John Clark. A former CIA Navy sealer, Clark was originally introduced in the 1987 novel The Kremlin Cardinal. In 1993, Clancy's Without remorse immersed in the story of the character, while rainbow six followed his adventures by forming a counter-terrorist group known as "Rainbow". While many Clancy novels love The red October hunt and Patriots Games have made their way into movie theaters before, this would be the first film adaptation for Clark's two novels – though rainbow six served as inspiration for Ubisoft's long-running games series of the same name.

It is said that Paramount meets writers for the Without remorse adaptation, but the conduct of projects is the author-producer Akiva Goldsman. Goldsman has a prolific, but incoherent career. He is the author of movies like A beautiful spirit – and Batman & Robin. He wrote Cinderella Man – as well as the 1998 Lost in space to restart. Recently he wrote the script for The dark tower, played a key role in Transformers franchise, and also co-created the next DC Universe show Titans.

The real story here, though, is Michael B. Jordan. The actor became a full-fledged player in power, which propelled franchises like Creed, and plays a key role as a villain in Marvel Black Panther. (It's interesting to note that his Black Panther The character of Erik Killmonger was a former black-ops soldier.) Running a franchise of two films, especially that of the famous Tom Clancy universe, will only strengthen his position among the most interesting blockbusters.
