Director Michael Moore only had politics in mind when he stopped at ABC News this month.
"When you say people do not like Trump, you've clearly never watched" The Apprentice, "Moore told Peter Travers. "People loved this show, why not [Democrats] to execute beloved characters? "
When Travers asked Moore who he would choose as the next Democratic presidential candidate, Moore immediately got an answer.
"Tom Hanks," he said. "Who would not vote for Tom Hanks? Why not? I asked him twice now to run and he will not run.
He added: "I even offered [to] Be the VP, I will do all the work. You have just introduced yourself to beautiful things and smile and be happy. Oprah, who would not vote for Oprah? What about Michelle Obama? Who would not vote for Michelle Obama? Come on, we could win if we managed someone to vote for. "
For his latest film, "Fahrenheit 11/9," Moore spoke to Americans across the country about their thoughts on Trump's presidency. The date in the title refers to the day that President Trump's victory in the 2016 election was confirmed.

Moore was one of the few to expect Donald Trump to win the election. He said Trump could even be a two-term president.
