Microsoft surpasses Amazon as the second largest US company

Microsoft surpassed Amazon to become Friday the second largest technology company in the United States.

The ranking change is the result of a decline in the value of Amazon shares, reports Reuters, after a weaker-than-expected quarterly report released by the online retailer wiped out a market capitalization $ 65 billion.

Microsoft, meanwhile, saw a positive quarterly report on Wednesday and has gained 4% market value since then, according to Reuters.
