"I've already defined what I wanted to do next," McGregor told The Mac Life.
"I know that Pettis and Ferguson are co-leaders. Initially, about a month or two ago, when this fight was announced for the co-principal, I thought to myself, "Damn, if Khabib is putting this fight on the pillory, like he's already put a lot Bottled fights before … it does not put this one in a bottle, I do not think … you know … f * ck the other two … no disrespect for the other two … I do not think I get angry about these other two [fight]. I think I would have probably just disappeared in the shade and got this man [Nurmagomedov] elsewhere than outside of here.
McGregor had a change of heart once arrived in Vegas and put himself mentally at the test of the fight. McGregor and his camp have already indicated that Khabib's history of injuries and weightlifting was a potential problem on hold.
"The Notorious" also gave hints on his future plans, which could vary significantly depending on whether he decides to defend his belt or get out of the combat zone and fight against Anderson Silva, or even boxing Mayweather (Click here to see my reaction if this happens.
"Now that I'm here, I'm back and I'm close, if he does not show up. I think I will fight against one or the other, "he said.
"I'm already mapping what's going on in my head. I know Dustin and Nate [are] in competition. I know that the 170-pound belt has also been defended and that I know Tyron [Woodley], the current welterweight champion, has itching for that one – as they all are. I know George is testing up to 155. I know everyone is looking for this job. I'm here, let's see what happens next.
