They wanted to have a destination wedding, but couldn’t
The couple had wanted to get married in Italy, but Sorrentino’s legal troubles prevented that from happening, because he was prohibited from leaving the area.
“Today I marry my best friend, My College Sweetheart. My everything,” Sorrentino posted on Instagram before the wedding. “Together as a team we can accomplish anything. I am so grateful that you are by my side. I promise to be my best self everyday & make you proud to call yourself Mrs. Sorrentino. Love you with all my heart. Here’s to our big day.”
On the show, the couple has been seen living in a condo in Long Branch. Sorrentino proposed on Valentine’s Day when the show was filming in Miami, during Pesce’s visit to the set.

GTL — “gym, tanning, laundry” — was Sorrentino’s rallying cry back on the original run of “Jersey Shore,” which debuted in 2009 and ended in 2012.
But these days, Sorrentino, a Staten Island native who grew up in Manalapan, has had his mind on nuptials, sober living and his eventual incarceration.
In “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” Sorrentino (pictured above with Pesce) sought to turn over a new leaf with the cast, given his commitment to sobriety. He was often under the influence of drugs and struggled with addiction when he first became famous as a prominent member of the cast known for his washboard abs (that’s what “The Situation” is).
Now, Sorrentino is mostly known for having a special zest for food, ordering dish upon dish when the cast dines out in Miami, Las Vegas and this season at the Jersey Shore.
