Michael Sorrentino, better known as "The Situation" of MTV's "Jersey Shore", is now a married man.

Sorrentino married his long-time girlfriend, Lauren Pesce, on Thursday in New Jersey, before going to jail to serve his eight-month sentence for tax evasion.

He retweeted a post wedding photo from the official Twitter account "Jersey Shore" who proclaimed: "We ourselves have a #Hitchuation! Congratulations to @ItsTheSituation and @lauren_pesce!"

People noticed that Deena Cortese and Angelina Pivarnick, cast members of "Jersey Shore" Sorrentino, were present.

Sorrentino, who met Pesce at the community college, offered an episode of "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" in June.

Sorrentino and his brother, Marc, pleaded guilty in January to having participated in a scheme to avoid taxes on an income of nearly $ 9 million. In addition to eight months in prison, Sorrentino will also be serving a two-year probation sentence at the end of his sentence.

A New Jersey federal judge said earlier this week that the "Jersey Shore" star had until January 15 to go to jail, pointing out the criminal record of Sorrentino while he was free under bail.
