Milwaukee is one of the fastest growing US cities, according to a new ranking of WalletHub's personal finance website.
Milwaukee is the sixth largest city in the slowest growth ranking, which has examined data for the last seven years.
The ranking was conducted using 15 indicators such as population growth, employment growth, median household income growth and an increase in the number of businesses. Data from the US Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Bureau of Economic Analysis were used.
Milwaukee's growth is ranked lowest for the median price of housing, the general population, the number of businesses and the working-age population.
Cleveland was the largest city in the slowest growing country. Milwaukee also grew faster, according to the ranking, than Tulsa, in Oklahoma; Baltimore; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Memphis, Tennessee.

The fastest growing big city is Austin, Texas, according to WalletHub. Large cities have been defined as those with more than 300,000 inhabitants. Of the 515 cities included in the ranking, 66 were large cities.
Small and medium-sized cities in Wisconsin also ranked in the slow growth category.
In the medium-sized cities category, Madison (123) and Green Bay (198) fell to the bottom of the 249 fastest-growing cities. The five smaller cities in Wisconsin rank in the bottom half of the 200 cities. Appleton ranked first with 102, followed by Eau Claire (112), Waukesha (120), Kenosha (155) and Racine (185).
