Minnesota reporter Jim Bunner fired for wearing a MAGA hat during the Trump rally

Jim Bunner, KTTC's multimedia reporter in the NBC affiliate in Minnesota, was fired a day after covering a Donald Trump rally while he was wearing a MAGA hat.

According to Buzz Feed News, Bunner was on Thursday in Rochester, Minnesota, when he was seen outside the Mayo Civic Center, wearing his station's jacket and MAGA's red hat.

Mark Vancleave, a video reporter for Minnesota's Star Tribune, took the photo that was shown on social media.

On Friday, Bunner received the pink slip.

"He violated our policy and was no longer with us," BuzzFeed News Noel Sederstrom, KTTC's Chief Information Officer, told BuzzFeed. "We do not allow our people to wear field clothes when they are on mission."

Sederstrom also noted that Bunner was not fired for his opinions. Instead, he was fired for expressing them while he was at work.

Bunner not only violated the unwritten code because it is a shoulder bag wearing a MAGA hat. WOWT 6 Banner, an affiliate member of the NBC, was arrested for allegedly harassing a woman he had been with in 2012 in Nebraska.

The Omaha anti-bomb squad was called Thursday morning morning on the campus of the Metropolitan Community College in La Vista, after police were informed of the presence of a suspicious device attached to a parked car. It turned out that someone had attached water balloons to the car and had placed some under the car.

What at first seemed like a joke can be much more serious. Police chief Lausten said in a press release that the 32-year-old woman had been followed and harassed on the MCC campus by 30-year-old James Bunner of Council Bluffs.

Lausten also revealed that Bunner also sent harassing texts and personal communication via cell phone to the woman. Lausten said the woman had recounted that she had been harassed by Bunner and that when she left the class on Thursday she had discovered a number of balloons filled with liquid on and under her car. She was scared and called the police.

Bunner was later found, interrogated and imprisoned for a minor offense disturbing the peace. He received a protection order from the victim.

It's official, Bunner's MAGA hat did not throw it in the trash because it was well before wearing the official hat of these chicken shit too hard to have a full cap.
