MLB News: DFA Angels Cody Allen

Fabian Ardaya of the sporty one reports that angels in Los Angeles have designated Cody Allen for the assignment.

Allen, 30, signed a $ 8.5 million yearlong contract with the Angels during the off season, which did not work. The right-handed taker took part in 25 games during which he scored 6.26 ERA, 8.33 FIP and 1.913 FIP. However, he managed to eliminate 29 batters over this period (11.3 SO / 9).

For his overall career, largely spent with the Indians, Allen was way better than he was at the time with the Angels, with 153 saves to go with an ERA 3.14, 3.43 FIP and 1.913 WHIP.

However, he is no longer this guy since 2017, which happens to be the last year Mickey Callaway was the coach of the team's pitchers before serving as the Mets manager.

With an office that is currently in trouble, it is certainly possible that the Mets attack Allen.
