There were three games left and we still have two divisions in play, a wild card in the National League and all the NL training.
The American League is easy. The only thing to decide is the advantage of the field for the game of wild-card. The New York Yankees are a victory or defeat of Oakland Athletics after winning. The winner of the wild-card match will travel to Boston while the Houston Astros will face the Cleveland Indians in the series clashes.
So let's preview the last three days by focusing on the National League and all the games. Here's how everything goes to Friday:

– If the Cubs and Brewers are tied for the NL Central title, there would be a tiebreaker on Monday at Wrigley Field (the Cubs won the 11-8 series).
– If the Rockies and Dodgers compete for the NL West title, there would be a tiebreaker game Monday at Dodger Stadium (the Dodgers won the 12-7 series).
– The Rockies, Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals could all end up with 89 or 90 wins, with a division title plus the second wild card. Tigers in Brewers, Jordan Zimmermann vs. Zach Davies (8:10 pm ET)
The Brewers pause, playing one of those bad AL teams. The Detroit Tigers were also terrible on the road (26-52). The Brewers were excellent in September, scoring 16-7 and outshooting their opponents 121-67. After a quick hit in August, the badge was great with an average of 1.98 and 128 outs in 100 innings (plus a 10-1 record). Christian Yelich, the probable default player, hit .359 / .435 / .743 in the second half. The Cardinals did just five times Wednesday, instead of giving him a chance to hit.
National at Rockies, Joe Ross vs. Kyle Freeland (8:10 pm ET)
With the shades of the 2007 Rocktober race, the Rockies have won seven straight victories to cross the Dodgers. The Rockies are gearing up for their first division title in franchise history and are looking for the first consecutive trips in franchise history. The Washington Nationals, however, are unlikely to tip over as the Phillies did. Freeland, the little boy at Jefferson High School in Denver, has an ERA of 2.84 and even more remarkable 2.36 ERA at Coors Field.
Dodgers at Giants, Hyun-Jin Ryu vs. Madison Bumgarner (10:15 ET)
The San Francisco Giants had a tough second period, but you know they'd love to spoil the Dodgers' season and eliminate them from the playoffs (or at least the division's title). Ryu came out of the DL in August and was a strike launcher with 50 strikeouts and three steps in 46 innings. He has launched 13 unbranded innings in his last two outings. Bumgarner will probably want to start a full match in this one, then come back on Sunday in relief. The Dodgers go for their sixth consecutive division title. The only teams with more are the 1991-2005 Braves (14, not counting the 1994 strike season) and the 1998-2006 Yankees (nine).
Saturday
Cardinals at Cubs, Miles Mikolas vs Cole Hamels (1:05 pm ET, FOX)
Mikolas turned out to be one of the best pickups of the off season since he went 17-4 with an ERA of 2.94. It does so by shifting gears and painting corners – it has one of the highest rates of pursuit in majors on grounds outside the zone. Hamels did not allow his team to play his first seven starts with the Cubs, but allowed six points in his last four outings. Keep an eye on Kris Bryant, who did not play on Wednesday or Thursday after being hit by a blow to his wrist on Tuesday and who has only played one homerike home since his return of the DL on September 1st because of pain with shoulder.
Dodgers in the giants, Clayton Kershaw against Dereck Rodriguez (4:05 pm ET)
Well, Mr. Kershaw. The Dodgers have obviously set up their rotation in order to win the division title. With Kershaw leaving on Saturday, that means he will not play a tiebreaker tie game on Monday or a possible wild card match Tuesday. In fact, the Dodgers' first three starters have played in their last three games, leaving Rich Hill at the top of the standings. (If Hill is needed on Monday … Ross Stripling for the wild-card game?)
Tigers at Brewers, Daniel Norris vs. Wade Miley (7:10 pm ET, FS1)
Miley had an ERA of 5.37 in 2016 and 5.61 in 2017. But you know the exercise – you can not predict baseball! He has an ERA of 2.32 in 15 starts with the Brewers. He somehow avoided the long ball, leaving only three home runs in 77 innings. The Brewers just need this little miracle to continue a new start in the regular season – and maybe four or five more in the playoffs.
Nationals in the Rockies, Stephen Strasburg vs. Jon Gray (8:10 pm ET)
An intriguing match between two of the most frustrating pitchers of 2018. Strasbourg still missed a little time with injuries, making only three starts in June and July, which was not a coincidence if the Nationals made 20 -30 of these two months. They could also wait to retain Gonzalez for the divisional tiebreaker game on Monday. Craig Counsell has a tough call here if the Brewers are out of a match coming in on Sunday. Nationals in the Rockies, Erick Fedde against undecided (3:10 pm ET)
