Bauers lifted a fast Chasen Shreve ball (2-2) over the center field fence. It was his second career circuit and the first Tampa Bay success since the third inning.

Yuli Gurriel scored three extra hits, including a grand slam to complete a second run of eight points, giving Houston the advantage in the rubber match of the three-game series with Kansas City .

Giants 3, Padres 2 (11 innings)

Looking for his 22nd stop of the season, Hand (1-4) eliminated Brandon Belt to start the 12th inning before Andrew McCutchen doubled a 1-2. Nolan Arenado and Gerardo Parra competed for the Rockies. The start of the game was delayed by one hour and 31 minutes when heavy rain and hail hit Coors Field shortly before the first pitch.
