Betts goes 30-30

Wednesday, the inclination of Orioles-Red Sox (the Sox took the advantage on the pitch throughout the season and the Orioles got the best choice in 2019), Mookie Betts, Boston candidate and player MVP, has stolen his 30th place of the season. And that means this:

Betts has 32 homers at home in 2018 to go with those 30 shots, so, yes, he has now entered the 62nd season 30-30 in the history of the MLB. A few days ago, the third Indian player, Jose Ramirez (and his rival), also joined the club.

In addition to having excellent defense on the right and managing the bases well, Betts went into the double-header Wednesday with an OPS + of 186 in 133 games and 83 more shots for the best baseball team. So, yes, he has legitimate designs on the AL MVP price.

Betts was not the only one to take an important step in this ritual at Fenway. Viewing:

Devers is certainly able to meet one on occasion, but Bogaerts has been particularly underrated this season. In addition to being Boston's main short-stop, the 25-year-old is now batting 288 / .358 / .517 with 22 homers and 44 doubles. Obviously, it's an outstanding production for any player, not to mention a short stop. Bogaerts probably does not get the credit he deserves this season.
